Plant visit in the Czech Republic

On 29 January 2019, 22 apprentices and their instructors boarded a large bus to begin their two-day visit to ept’s affiliate plants in the Czech Republic. Upon their arrival they shared a hearty meal in good company. The next day the 25 participants visited the plant in Svatava, the first of two ept plants in the Czech Republic and the location of the apprentice workshop. Czech colleagues Martina Pádrová (Head of HR and Finance), Gabriela Titěrová (Sales), and Petr Tóth (Head of Vocational Training for commercial/technical professions) took the time to give the interested visitors a thorough tour of the plant, making sure to emphasize the importance of quality, comprehensive vocational training in the Czech Republic. Next, the group traveled to Habartov to visit the new connector manufacturing plant. Built in 2007, the facility is home to a 5,000-m² manufacturing hall and 1,000 m² of offices and warehouses.

Apprentices and instructors enjoyed a fun and fascinating visit to the plants, and for some of the apprentices the excursion served as their final graduation trip. In early 2019, 22 apprentices finished their training within honors and all graduates were offered permanent positions as highly-qualified specialists. The experienced team of instructors ensures that each year’s apprentices receive a top education and finish their training with excellent marks, not to mention frequent awards from the CCI.
