What is dual study?

The dual study combines a university education with vocational training and prearranged practical training periods at the company. This curriculum offers the perfect opportunity to combine theory and practice, making it an ideal way to start your career.

What advantages does dual study have to offer?

ept offers you a salary throughout the entire program, even while studying, and the company commits to hiring you.
The practical training will make work easier for you later in your career.
You can opt to do a one-semester internship abroad.

What requirements do I need to fulfill for dual study?

An interest in technology and mechanical processes of a technical nature
Good grades in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, or an advanced technical certificate
Craftsmanship
Respect for quality and safety
Enjoyment in working as part of a team
A high level of motivation
Goal orientation

What degree program is right for me?

Combined study

The combined study combines university studies with vocational training. This means that you can receive two degrees in just four and a half years while being supported financially by ept!

During your first year in our training workshop, you will cover all of the study material for the first part of the final exam. Your studies will begin after the exam, and you will complete your training alongside the other apprentices in the semester breaks after the fifth semester.

Are you highly motivated and goal-oriented? And are you organized enough to master a range of requirements? Then apply for a combined study at ept!

Study with extended practical training

Have you already completed your vocational training (at ept, for example) and would now like to gather even more professional experience while getting your degree? Then pursuing a university major while getting extended practical training is the right choice!

This program offers a perfectly matched combination of university studies and practical application at the company. University training and professional practice are interwoven from the outset. You will go through intensive periods of hands-on training that allow you to get to know the company better. You might even spend a semester abroad doing an internship at one of our branches.

Three and a half years later, you’ll have a university degree in the bag and loads of practical knowledge at your disposal. This provides you with all you need to immediately jump-start into your career.

Internship semester, Bachelor’s and Master’s thesis at ept

Would you like to get to know a modern manufacturing company while you complete your thesis?

You are a student majoring in:

Mechanical engineering
Industrial engineering
Business administration
Mechatronics
Computer science

Are you dedicated and do you work very independently? Are you receptive and friendly in your approach to other people, and does teamwork come naturally to you?
Then apply for an internship, a one-semester internship, or a Bachelor’s/Master’s thesis at ept.
