Guests were allowed to be hands-on and try out everything, meaning technology fanatics could marvel at how a 3D printer works or test out a pinball machine built in-house, while prospective surface coaters analyzed the pH values of cola, water, and orange juice. The ept cinema screened videos about the nine apprenticeships, with each video lasting around two minutes and providing guests with a glimpse into the atmosphere, content, and process of the respective apprenticeship. And of course, the apprentices were on hand to answer any questions the visitors had throughout the day. “We are pleased with the wonderful turnout today and the motivation of our apprentices; they spoke about their education here with great enthusiasm,” said ept instructor Barbara Deininger.
ept welcomed a total of 160 guests on this incarnation of Apprentice Day, which aims to encourage young people to take up one of the nine different apprenticeship paths, and marks the third occasion that ept has opened its doors for such an event. 115 apprentices are currently receiving training at ept. A nother 38 apprentices and students on dual study programs will start at ept on 1 September 2019. If you didn’t have time to visit ept at the weekend, you can always find out more at
